It's very disheartening that many poultry 

farmers make mistakes while using the vaccine expecially the lasota and gumboro leading to an overdose,underdose and vaccine failure

The lasota vaccine is a live vaccine meant to create immunity against the Newcastle disease.Remember a vaccine was never meant to cure a disease,but prevent the disease by creating immunity in those poultry birds.Another question is ,how do I identify a bird with Newcastle disease

𝙎𝙄𝙂𝙉 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙎𝙔𝙈𝙋𝙏𝙊𝙈𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙉𝙀𝙒𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙏𝙇𝙀 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀

1)Gasping for air

2) Coughing

3)Nasal discharge

4) Diarrhea with greenish faeces

5)Paralysis of wings and legs

6)Toticiollis of turning head side ways, walking about in a circle or walking backwards

7)dying suddenly without notice

We have digressed alittle, let's go back to the topic of today

𝙃𝙊𝙒 𝘿𝙊 𝙄 𝙐𝙎𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙑𝘼𝘾𝘾𝙄𝙉𝙀

➡️Get your water(non-chlorinated)

➡️Buy the vaccine from a good veterinary pharmacist, maintain the cold chain in the vaccine unless it becomes ineffective

➡️Put the skimmed milk(2½grams) in the water

➡️Put the vaccine into the water, then open the cap right inside the water

➡️You would have starved your birds of water about 2 hrs before vaccine administration

➡️Serve your birds the vaccine and withdraw after two hours

You have successfully vaccinated your birds

If you followed this content well, I didn't state the measurements of water

Many poultry farmers have missed it when it comes to how many dose goes for how many  litter of water

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙌𝙐𝙀𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙄𝙎❓

How many litres of water should go for 100 dose of lasota vaccine

Is it  One Litre❓

Is it Four litres ❓

Let me quickly paraphrase chapter 4

A 100 dose means a hundred birds,in other words it's not ethical to use 200 dose for 100birds

Very wrong

The formula is simply.....

➡️100dose of lasota goes for 30% daily water intake

➡️200dose of lasota goes for 30% daily water intake

➡️And so on

It's is neither

❌1 litre

✖️4litres of water

But you must not forget that each stage of a bird life , the water intake changes

You must be observant (that's why you are the farmer)

I want to vaccinate 100broilers with the lasota vaccine,as they are three weeks old.how many litres of water do I use❓

At 3 weeks old, the average daily water consumption by my 100birds is 12litres

Remember, 30% daily water consumption

30/100 *12litres=3.6 litres

So therefore

I will mix 100dose in 3.6litres of water
